Terms of service

Last updated 26 October 2026. These terms cover the website and the training service at gappie.ai.

Privacy statement

The service

Gappie builds every session for one event, runs and exercises together. It compares Garmin data with runners a step ahead of you, and with the pros, then fine-tunes the next session after each run. You set the goal. A coach you invite can adjust a session.

The plan is a suggestion. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, physiotherapy, or a promise of a time. You decide whether a session is safe for you. If you are injured, ill, pregnant, or unsure, talk to a doctor or a coach in person before you train. Stop a session that does not feel right.

A heavy day can shorten or ease a neighbouring run. That change is shown in the plan. It does not enter you in a race, and it does not decide anything else with a legal effect. You can ignore it.

Who can join

You need to be at least 16. The service is not for children, and we do not ask a parent to open an account for one. One person uses one account. You use your own name and an email address you can read.

Your account

You choose a password of at least 8 characters. Keep it to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your login until you tell us it is no longer yours.

Creating an account means you agree to these terms and to the privacy statement. The service is free while we say it is. If we ever charge, we will tell you the price before you pay, and we will not charge an existing account without that step.

Garmin, HYROX, and coaches

Connecting Garmin is optional. You create a Personal API key on Garmin Connect and save it here. We use it to download your activities and the related readings Garmin provides, and to shape the plan. Garmin's own terms cover your Garmin account. We are not Garmin, and Garmin does not sponsor or endorse Gappie.

Searching HYROX results is optional. We send the name you type to the results service. A result is stored on your account only after you tick the box to link it. HYROX is a trademark of HYROX World GmbH. We are not HYROX, and HYROX does not sponsor or endorse Gappie.

You choose who joins a plan. An athlete can invite a coach. A coach can invite an athlete. The invited person sees that plan, including the sessions and the goal. A coach can adjust a session. The athlete keeps the Garmin key. Do not invite someone you do not want to see that plan.

Your training data

The runs, notes, and race results you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and use them so we can run the service: build the plan, show it to you, show a plan to a person you invited, and send the account mail described in the privacy statement. We do not sell your data. The privacy statement says what we keep, who else handles it, and how you ask us to delete it.

What we ask of you

• Use your own account, your own Garmin data, and your own race results.
• Do not try to open someone else's account, probe the service, or overload it.
• Do not send invites to people who did not ask for them, or use the invite mail as a list.
• Do not copy the service, the wording, or the plan layout to run a competing product.

We can refuse an invite or close an account that breaks these terms.

Our material

The Gappie name, the site, the software, and the way the plan is written belong to us. You keep the right to use the plan for your own training while your account is open. Photographs on the public site are used under the licence named in the footer.

Garmin and HYROX are trademarks of their owners. Using those names here describes the connection, nothing more.

Availability

We work to keep the service up, and we do not promise that it will be available every hour, that a Garmin download will succeed, or that a mail will arrive. We can change a feature, or pause the service, when we need to. If we shut the service down, we will email the address on your account when we can, with enough notice to export what you need.

Liability

Training has a risk of injury. You accept that risk when you follow a session. We are not liable for an injury, a missed session, a race result, or a loss that comes from how you use the plan, from Garmin, from HYROX results, or from email delivery.

Dutch law still applies where it does not let us limit liability. Nothing here excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, or any right a consumer cannot sign away.

Closing an account

You can ask us to close the account at any time, at privacy@gappie.ai. We then delete it as the privacy statement describes. We can close an account that breaks these terms, that we cannot secure, or that has not been used for 24 months after we have emailed a warning. If you sign in during the 30 days after that warning, the account stays.

Changes

We can update these terms. The new date is shown at the top of this page. If a change affects how you train or what you agree to, we email the address on your account. If you do not agree, close the account before the change applies. Using the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

Law

Dutch law applies. A dispute that we cannot settle by email goes to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless a consumer-protection rule gives you a different court.
